Sayur Manis(Star gooseberry) Omelette
This is my home recipe that my mum always cooked. We called "sayur manis" in malay means sweet leaf in English but also known as star gooseberry. Here i put a picture of sweet leaf,to easy for recognize.
It can be cook in so many ways,but mostly i like to eat this way,more easy and fast.
Ingredients:
- Sweet leaf(cut about 2.5 inch)
- Egg(Depends with amount of sweet leaf,sometimes people like less egg,but i done whole covered with egg)
- Pepper
- Salt
- Onion(Chopped, if don't like to put onion also can)
- Bird eyes chili or any type of chili(If you like spicy)
- Cooking Oil
Put some egg into the bowl,stir and add some salt,pepper,chili and onion.Mix it well.
After that,add sweet leaf to the mixture.stir and mix everything.
Heat the non-stick pan,put little bit of oil. when heated,pouring down all the mixture to the pan,make it shape roundly. Turn back upside down. wait until cooked.
*its nice to serve with rice and dip into chili sauce,or any kind of dipping sauce. you also can make it for your sandwich or eat just like that.
